Nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism are permanent vision that can negatively affect your daily life. While these conditions are permanent, you can   significantly improve or resolve them – with proper approach and treatment.

The excimer laser revolutionized the specialty known as “Laser Refractive Surgery” by allowing the surgeon to reshape a patient’s cornea and, therefore, reduce or eliminate nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism.

LASIK is the most well-known way to do this. It uses laser technology to erase refractive errors.

In addition to regular surgical Ophthalmology training, the  Ophthalmologists at Eye Group of Connecticut are Fellowship-trained in LASIK/ Refractive surgery, and medical and surgical corneal eye diagnoses and treatment. care  Our ophthalmologists believe it is vital to have proper subspecialized training coupled with decades of experience to provide for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

We are happy to offer:

  • Both LASIK and PRK (aka “Surface treatment”)
  • Monovision treatment
  • Pre-treatment evaluation as well as post-operative care.
  • Our surgeons provide treatments of numerous eye conditions and perform multiple types of eye procedures and surgeries. Patients can have the confidence of receiving appropriate course of treatment if we find they are not a candidate for LASIK.
