Jeffrey Kaplan, MD

Dr. Kaplan, a board-certified ophthalmologist is a graduate of Stonybrook University Medical School. He has been honored to be nominated and receive “Top Doctor” award for 8 consecutive years by the Consumers’ Research Council in the Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologists. He is also honored to be named in Connecticut Magazine’s Top Doctors for 10 consecutive years.

After completing his ophthalmology residency at Downstate Medical Center in NYC, Dr. Kaplan was invited to join world renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Seymour DuBroff in the Greater Washington D.C. area studying and performing some of the most innovative ophthalmic surgical techniques including phacoemulsification cataract surgery.

To date, he has successfully performed over 12,000 cataract surgeries. His practice includes the use of multifocal intraocular lenses to eliminate, or reduce, the need for glasses post cataract surgery. Dr. Kaplan has been invited to cities around the United States to teach instructional courses to fellow ophthalmologists in these latest techniques of cataract surgery and intra-ocular lens implantation.
